Nutering And Spaying
Started By
When you send a dog to the pound it is automatically nutered or spayed. I think this is a terrible idea. Even though that is what happens in the real world I do not think it should happen on Alacrity.

This is a suggestiong I have been thinking up for a long time. I think this is a good idea becasue if you think about Alacrity is all about breeding trial dogs. When you send them to the pounds breeders are less likely to pick one up because they are nutered or spayed and have no breeding purpose. I get that users have a choice on the dogs page to nuter or spay them and that is fin, but nutering and spaying them automatically when sent to the pound is not a good idea.

Please leave your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks

No support. If you're dedicated enough to want to breed a dog, save up for a MDB.

No support, I often send dogs on my other side if I don't want them bred but not retiring them if they can have a chance.<br /> <br /> Also there are many non-fixed dog rescues out there that take in dogs if you don't want them fixed, one of em is me and I'm happy with how everything is.

I agree with max12198

Well you really don't want to breed to many dogs cause half of them get turned over at the pound or get retired.

No support. I send dogs to the pound when I don't want to retire them but don't want people breeding them.<br /> <br />

I love the pound as is. A dog doesn't need to be unfixed to be awesome c; Virtual or real.

In My opinion The pound should stay the way it is. Like what Hyper said most dogs that go there are either Low TP or Inbred! Also, it makes it so that people who adopt remember where the dog came from and if they are that desperet to breed the pooch they can save up for a magic dog biscut! so sorry, I don't support this motion,<br /> INUx

<i>"if you really really want to breed a dog you find in the pound, work at earning a MDB."</i><br><br>Hah. Not for 700K to get a dog unfixed and back to it's original sex. ;)

No support - The pound as it is set up is done so for a reason and it's fine the way it is - if you really really want to breed a dog you find in the pound, work at earning a MDB. If the previous owner wanted you to be able to take the easy route to breeding their dog - they would have put it up for sale for cheap and made the money themselves.

Yes they do that then it just makes it harder to get homes for them..I might get one there even though I only like Pitts I might get one there

I like Gamzee's idea. But i think it should be for like 2-3 days so people have the chance to take a good look at the dogs. I agree Crystal i hate seeing the beautiful dogs go to waste

<i>"I like having the option of sending dogs I don't want bred off to the pound without having to neuter them myself. "</i><br><br>They would eventually get neutered anyways. I think if you don't want a dog bred, don't sell it to the public or just retire it? :S I never understood this "I don't want my dogs bred" thing.. and it only costs $400 to neuter a dog which can be made back with one play of Mahjong.<br><br><b>@Hyper:</b>If you don't want an inbred dog, don't buy it. If you don't want an inbred dog breeding into your lines, check the dog's lineage first. That's what I do.

Yes but some people can not afford that

08-24-2011 at 6:42 PM
Do not support.<br /> <br /> To me it seems like the majority of the dogs that go to the pound are low TP or inbred. Breeders wont really want them anyway.<br /> <br /> Plus you can just get a Magical Dog Biscuit, like I do
